My favorite science experience was while I was a student during a study abroad program. (A study abroad program is a program where students go to another country to attend classes for a limited period of time.) I designed and implemented a small research project documenting coastal habitat before a hotel was constructed. The project sparked my interest in human-environment interactions and paved the way for the research I do now, which focuses on air pollution and human health.
