My favorite science experience is working directly with land managers to communicate the results of our scientific studies. Sharing this information helps the managers make important land management decisions. I also enjoy the publication process, and I appreciate learning from other scientists with different viewpoints. Peer review and criticism promote excellence in science.
In the picture, I am scouting for new tidal freshwater forested wetland study sites in the Savannah National Wildlife Refuge located in South Carolina.
