Heidi McAllister, Environmental Educator
- M.S., Yale University
- USDA Forest Service
- An environmental educator is like a translator. We work with scientists to understand the natural world, and then we put scientific concepts into everyday language so people can better understand. As part of the Artemis Moon Trees project, I help people learn about the effects of space travel on tree seeds and tree growth.

Stan Krugman, Geneticist
- USDA Forest Service
- Stan Krugman used his expertise to determine which tree seeds to send into orbit aboard Apollo 14. To make sure the trees were well taken care of, Krugman helped determine which tree species each organization should get based on their location and climate conditions.
