(nä vəl): New and not resembling anything used or known before.

(nu̇ mer ik): Having to do with numbers or a system of numbers.
nursery
(nǝr s(ǝ) rē): A place where plants (like trees or shrubs) are grown for transplanting, for use as stocks in grafting, or for sale.
nutrient
(nü trē ǝnt): A substance or ingredient that promotes growth, provides energy, and maintains life.
nutrient cycling
(nü trē ənt sī k(ə-)liŋ): The uptake, use, release, and storage of nutrients by plants and their environments.

(ǝ lē gǝ lāj): Pollinator species which requires the pollen of a particular plant for development and survival.
omnivorous
(äm ni v(ə-)rəs): (adjective) Feeding on both animal and plant substances.
open space
(ō pən spās): Undeveloped land that is accessible to the public.
operational
(op ür a shun ul): Of or relating to performance of practical work or operations.
optical
(äp ti kǝl): Of or relating to vision; of, relating to, or using light.
optimum
(äp tǝ mǝm): The amount or degree of something that is most favorable to some end.
oral history
(ȯr əl hi st(ə-)rē): A recording containing information about the past obtained from in-depth interviews concerning personal experiences, recollections, and reflections.
