microscopic

(mī krə skä pik): Able to be seen only through a microscope; very small.

migrate

( grāt): To pass, usually periodically, from one region or climate to another for feeding or breeding.

(mi gra shun): The act of moving from one place to another.

migratory

( grǝ tȯr ē): Of, relating to, or characterized by moving, usually periodically, from one region or climate to another for feeding or breeding.

(mīn): To dig into for ore or metal.

mitigation

(mit ə shən): The act of making (something) less severe.

mobile

(mo bul): Able to move from location to location.

mode

(mōd): The most frequent value of a set of values.

model

( dǝl): (noun): (1) Type or kind; (2) a system of postulates, data, and inferences presented as a mathematical description of an entity or state of affairs. (verb): To make a simplified copy or representation of something to help aid understanding.

modernize

( dər nīz): To make or become modern, especially to change to suit present styles, tastes, or needs.

( dǝ fī) To make minor changes in.

moisture content

(mȯis chǝr kän tent): The amount of water present in a substance.

molecular

(mǝ le kyǝ lǝr): Of, relating to, consisting of, or produced by molecules, which are the smallest particles of a substance that have all the characteristics of the substance.

( li kyül): The smallest particle of a substance that retains all the properties of the substance and is composed of one or more atoms.

mollusk

( ləsk): Any of a large phylum of invertebrate animals (such as snails, clams, and octopuses) with a soft body lacking segments and usually enclosed in a shell containing calcium.

molt

(mōlt): To shed hair, feathers, shell, horns, or an outer layer periodically.

molten

(mōl tǝn): Melted especially by very great heat.

monetary

( nǝ ter ē): Of or relating to money.

monetary value

( nǝ ter ē val yü): How much money something is worth.
