life cycle
(līf sī kәl): A series of stages through which something (such as a plant or animal) passes during its lifetime.

(läg jam): A situation in which a large number of logs floating down a river become tangled with each other so that further movement is not possible.

(län jə tüd nəl): Involving the repeated observation of a set of subjects over time with respect to one or more study variables.
lumber
(lǝm bǝr): Timber or logs especially when sawed and trimmed for use.
lunar
(lü nǝr) Of, relating to, or resembling the Moon.
lunar cycle
(lū nər sī kəl): The changing appearance of the Moon as seen from Earth.
lush
(ləsh): Having full and healthy growth.

(mag nə tüd): Size, quantity, number, or extent of something (such as the strength of an earthquake).
majestic
(mə jes tik): Being stately and dignified.
majority
(mə jȯr ə tē): A number or percentage equaling more than half of a total.
maladapted
(ma lə dap təd): Poorly suited or unsuited.
mammal
(ma mǝl): Any of a class of warm-blooded vertebrates that include human beings and all other animals that nourish their young with milk produced by mammary glands and have the skin usually more or less covered with hair.
