(lē gǝ lē): From the point of view of law.
legislation
(le jǝ slā shǝn): The laws made by a legislator or legislative body.
lichen
(lī kən): Any of numerous plantlike living things made up of an alga and a fungus growing together on a solid surface (such as a rock or a tree).
life cycle
(līf sī kәl): A series of stages through which something (such as a plant or animal) passes during its lifetime.

(läg jam): A situation in which a large number of logs floating down a river become tangled with each other so that further movement is not possible.
longitudinal
(län jə tüd nəl): Involving the repeated observation of a set of subjects over time with respect to one or more study variables.
lumber
(lǝm bǝr): Timber or logs especially when sawed and trimmed for use.
lunar
(lü nǝr) Of, relating to, or resembling the Moon.
lunar cycle
(lū nər sī kəl): The changing appearance of the Moon as seen from Earth.
lush
(ləsh): Having full and healthy growth.

(mag nə tüd): Size, quantity, number, or extent of something (such as the strength of an earthquake).
majestic
(mə jes tik): Being stately and dignified.
majority
(mə jȯr ə tē): A number or percentage equaling more than half of a total.
