The most satisfying moments in my job involve finding solutions to problems related to conservation. In the case of the golden eagle study, for example, our goal was to help park managers regulate recreation activities near golden eagle territories. Such regulation would help ensure a healthy population of eagles in Denali National Park. It is a nice example of the use of scientific knowledge to help make smart decisions for conservation.
