My favorite experience related to science is the combined feeling of exhaustion, peace, and wonder after putting in a hard field day out in nature. However, the feeling most particular to doing science for me is a small excitement at having learned something new, confirming or rejecting a hunch based on field observations, or understanding a concept in a new way, after investing much time and effort collecting, organizing, and analyzing data.
