My favorite science experiences have involved my family and the outdoors. I assisted my wife several years ago with data collection in two beautiful national parks. These parks were Bryce Canyon National Park in Utah and Mesa Verde National Park in Colorado. We collected data for a research project she conducted at the University of Utah. More recently, I introduced my oldest son to field research in the North Carolina Mountains. My son was doing this research through the citizen science program at the North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences.
