Watch this short video to learn more about all the free resources that Natural Inquirer has to offer young learners.
Natural Inquirer Reader Series
The Natural Inquirer Reader series was developed to meet the needs of Pre-K through 2nd grade students. Most Readers focus on one USDA Forest Service scientist and their research. Additionally, there are a few Readers that focus on a specific topic. Readers contain glossaries, activities, and are correlated to National Education Standards. We have also created lesson plans to pair with the Reader series.
Video Read-Alongs and Audio Books
In these read-along videos for young children, follow along as Smokey Bear reads about people who work in fire, or as Woodsy Owl tells us about the work of a scientist studying owls. The videos include read-along text that boldfaces as the narrator reads. These Readers are also available in an audio book format – perfect for listening centers.
Lesson Plans
The Natural Inquirer has lesson plans for every grade level. Lesson plans pair with our Readers or can be used with other nonfiction texts.
Coloring Books
The Natural Inquirer has several coloring books for students of all ages. Download the entire coloring book or print individual coloring pages.
