Welcome to Woodsy Owl LIVE, a distance learning adventure brought to you by the USDA Forest Service and the Natural Inquirer. There are three different Woodsy Owl LIVE programs:
- Woodsy Owl LIVE 1: Lend a Hand, Care for the Land - A 50-minute video in honor of Woodsy Owl's 50th birthday; learn about Woodsy's conservation message, the importance of forests, and more.
- Woodsy Owl LIVE 2: Open Your Eyes, Be Climate-wise - A 50-minute video where viewers will learn about trees, climate change, and the water and carbon cycles.
- Woodsy Owl LIVE 3: Air and Water Pollution - A series of three short (10-15 minute) videos about water and air pollution and what we can do to help, followed by a Q&A session that was recorded live where experts answered viewer-submitted questions.

Woodsy Owl began his career in 1971 and has grown to be the national symbol for youth-led conservation. His caring and friendly persona invite youth to join him on a conservation journey. Woodsy Owl inspires us all to consciously care for the planet and its natural resources by starting with our local communities.

Woodsy Owl LIVE 1 celebrated his 50th Birthday! This program focuses on Woodsy’s Birthday and his conservation message, “Lend a Hand – Care for the Land!” Students can learn about our connection to all types of forest, our responsibility to care for the land, careers in forestry and environmental conservation, and how kids and professionals have taken action to implement Woodsy Owl’s conservation ethic.

What is a Virtual Learning Adventure?
Virtual learning adventures and live, electronic field trips (EFTs) bring the excitement of learning right to you, your classroom, or your non-formal learning event. Teachers don’t need to load up buses, worry about the weather, or collect money. The experts, topic, and location are brought to you electronically via the Internet.
