Lesson Plan – Inquiry 1 World’s Forests Edition

In this lesson plan, students will research their own latitude, elevation, and annual rainfall to place local forests into one of the categories scientists used in the study. How would different forests in their local area be categorized and what is similar and different about those forests?
Materials:
- A copy of Inquiry 1 from World's Forests 1
- Paper and pencil or computer for taking notes
- Globe or map with latitude lines
- Internet or library access
- FAO Forest Types table (included)
