Welcome to the first episode of Ecosystems LIVE: Nature Nearby. We have put together a brief educator guide with additional resources to easily pair with this episode!

 

 


Before watching Episode 1, you may find it helpful to review the following terms:

  • Ecosystem

    A system made up of an ecological community of living things interacting with their environment especially under natural conditions.

  • Suburban

    Characteristic of a smaller community adjacent to or within commuting distance of a city.

  • Urban

    Of, relating to, typical of, or being a city.

  • Rural

    Of or relating to the country, country people or life, or agriculture.

  • Biotic

    Of, relating to, or caused by living organisms.

  • Abiotic

    Not involving or produced by organisms.
