My position as a fire prevention technician gives me the opportunity to meet and educate the public about fire safety and ways to protect natural resources for future generations.
Being an outgoing person and being willing to talk to people. I spend the majority of my days out patrolling, talking, and educating the public. It gives me the opportunity to spread the message on how to protect our natural resources.
A challenge that I encounter is trying to patrol a ranger district that is over 200,000 acres alone. I have to prioritize the areas that need more attention than others.
